Why we exist

The money searches in scuba gear are held by a wall of listicles that go a mile wide and an inch deep, and by legacy magazine tests tied to a print cycle. Nobody was pairing long-term, single-model reviews with honest A-vs-B decision pages, instrument-grade design, and a tool you would actually keep open on the drive to the quarry. So we built it.

We enter the winnable lane on purpose: reviews, comparisons, and budget long-tail — not a head-on sprint at “best dive computer 2026.” The roundup hubs are slow-burn; the reviews and decision pages are the spearhead, written to answer the exact arguments divers are already having so a forum thread can link straight to the spec table.

What we are — and aren’t

We are a research desk with a shop attached. We read spec sheets, track prices, and pattern- match owner reports and failure threads. We are not a dive school. Nothing here teaches diving or replaces an instructor, and our pre-dive tool does gear checklists and service-date math only — never decompression, no-stop, or gas planning. That line is the whole point of trusting a gear site.

How we pay the bills
