Plain-English, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.
▚ THE SHORT VERSION
No Fly Time collects as little as it can. We do not sell your personal data. We use privacy-respecting analytics, an email list you opt into, and standard checkout processing for merch orders.
▚ ANALYTICS
We use aggregate analytics to understand which guides help people. This records general, mostly anonymized usage — pages viewed, rough region, device type. We do not build advertising profiles on you.
▚ NEWSLETTER
If you subscribe, we store your email address to send the newsletter and nothing else. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and leaving deletes you from the list.
▚ MERCH ORDERS
When you buy from the shop, checkout is handled by our payment processor (Stripe), which collects the shipping and payment details needed to fulfil and ship your order. We receive order and shipping information to make and deliver the item; we never see full card numbers.
▚ AFFILIATE LINKS
Some outbound gear links are affiliate links. When you click one, the destination retailer (e.g. Amazon) may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase. That relationship is governed by the retailer’s privacy policy, not ours. We log anonymous click counts to know which picks are useful.
▚ COOKIES
We use a small number of functional cookies (for example, to remember an affiliate click for attribution). Your browser can block or clear them; the site still works.
▚ THE PRE-DIVE TOOL
Your pre-dive checklist and gear service dates are saved in your own browser’s local storage — on your device, not our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them.
▚ YOUR CHOICES
You can unsubscribe from email any time, clear cookies and local storage in your browser, and contact us to ask what we hold. We respond to reasonable requests promptly.
